In. 1946 The Ferguson Tractor company brought out the T20 tractor, it was the first tractor to have the now familiar 3 point linkage for attaching implements

The MOS (Ministry of supply) bought some and issued them to the M.P.B.W (The Ministry for Parks, Buildings and Works) who were responsible for the upkeep of Military sites like ours. While we cant be sure Beacon Hill had one. we must have had something to cut all the grass so when it was clear we needed a mower and something to move dirt etc a Ferguson T20 was the only choice.
